  • Corazon Mining has launched its maiden 50-hole reverse circulation drill programme at the Chalice Gold Project.
  • The exploration effort aims to expand the project's existing 191,000-ounce JORC resource estimate.
  • Targeting up to 830,000 ounces of gold, the company plans to complete drilling by November.

Corazon Mining (ASX:CZN) has commenced its maiden 50-hole, 7,500-metre reverse circulation drill programme at the Chalice Gold Project in Western Australia.

The initial programme marks the company's first drilling campaign at the site since acquiring the project.

Corazon Mining Managing Director Simon Coyle commented, "We're now putting 50 holes into the ground to test gold extensions up to a kilometre south of the pit and to a depth of ~ 200 metres and deliberately prioritising the near-surface targets for the most capital and time-efficient pathway to resource growth."

The campaign tests for extensions up to 1,000 metres south of the historical open pit to evaluate an exploration target of 600,000 to 830,000 ounces of contained gold.

Assay results are expected within weeks as drilling progresses towards a November 2026 completion date. Following the announcement the Corazon Mining share price was unchanged at $0.11.

The site features a granted mining lease with an established resource of 191,000 ounces grading 2.7 grammes per tonne of gold.

Corazon recently expanded its footprint by acquiring surrounding exploration ground to build a consolidated 40-kilometre tenure corridor.
