Control Bionics drives global neurotech expansion
Medical technology company Control Bionics (ASX:CBL) announced commercial momentum and pipeline advancement across its three core neurotechnology platforms: Assistive Technology, Neurotechnology Solutions, and Medical Technology.
The company has expanded its global footprint through pivotal international distribution agreements and insurance reimbursement milestones.
A major driver of this growth is the establishment of a nationwide US insurance billing model following the allocation of the E2513 HCPCS billing code, which enabled January distribution partnerships with Tobii Dynavox and PRC-Saltillo.
Control Bionics also secured a funded market pathway in Europe after obtaining HMV insurance coverage in Germany this past February.
Further accelerating product expansion, the company signed an April 2026 letter of intent for 1,000 NextLevel iOS-based communication devices, securing a US$100,000 upfront payment to support a partner-led distribution model.
Additionally, an anticipated Apple BCI integration is currently in development, with a global release targeted for Q3 2026.
The NeuroTech Solutions division is advancing commercial validation for NeuroStrip, its wearable sEMG platform.
Structured evaluation programmes are currently underway with prestigious clinical institutions and elite sporting organisations, including the AFL, NRL, Australian Institute of Sport, and Ohio University.
A recent Japanese Stroke Lab study demonstrated a 39% reduction in muscle overactivity using the NeuroStrip application.
