Cobre (ASX:CBE) has secured firm commitments to raise $90 million through a two-tranche share placement.
The capital raise follows recent copper exploration and production development updates released by the company in July 2026.
The transaction will issue approximately 300 million new fully paid ordinary shares to institutional and sophisticated investors.
The first tranche will raise approximately $72 million utilising the company's existing placement capacity.
Following the announcement, the Cobre share price was down at $0.30.
The company stated that the capital will fund increased ownership in the Sierra Atacama Project and debt repayment.
Major shareholders Tribeca Investment Partners and Strata Investment cornerstone the equity raise.
