  • Cobalt Blue completed a core sampling programme at Halls Creek to advance metallurgical test work and earn-in rights.
  • The company's shares fell to $0.066 following the update.
  • The testwork aims to support an updated scoping study in late 2026 and expand project ownership to 75%.

Cobalt Blue (ASX:COB) has completed a targeted core sampling programme at its Halls Creek Project in Western Australia to support processing optimisation.

The fresh testwork builds on a June 2025 scoping study that evaluated copper and zinc recovery.

"The June 2025 scoping study established a strong foundation for Halls Creek as a staged copper-zinc development opportunity," said Cobalt Blue CEO and Managing Director Dr Andrew Tong.

Geologists collected approximately 870 kg of material from the Onedin and Sandiego deposits to test silver recovery alongside existing base metals.

Following the announcement, the Cobalt Blue share price was down at $0.066.

The company exercised an option to spend an extra $1.5 million by June 2028 to raise its project stake from 51% to 75%.

Cobalt Blue stated that metallurgical results will feed into an updated scoping study targeted for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.
