Cluey scraps Art of Smart acquisition deal
Cluey (ASX:CLU) has terminated its planned acquisition of Education Futures Group, the parent entity of the Art of Smart Group.
The decision comes after several "conditions precedent" outlined in the December 2025 share purchase agreement remained unfulfilled by the Jan. 31 sunset deadline.
Despite expressing disappointment over the collapsed deal, Cluey’s board reaffirmed its commitment to a blended learning strategy, noting that capital raised in late 2025 will now be redirected toward alternative acquisitions and general working capital.
The company remains optimistic heading into the 2026 academic year, citing a strong surge in new student enrollments throughout January.
At the time of reporting, Cluey's share price was $0.064.
