Charger Metals (ASX:CHR) has lodged a mining lease application (MLA 63/691) for the development of its 100% owned Medcalf Lithium deposit and Medcalf West exploration target, located within the Lake Johnston Lithium and Gold Project, approximately 450km east of Perth in Western Australia’s Yilgarn Province.
The application covers 3,644 hectares on Ngadju traditional lands, with the company acknowledging and respecting the Ngadju people as custodians.
The MLA encompasses the maiden Medcalf mineral resource estimate of 8.2 million tonnes at 1.0% Li₂O and the adjacent Medcalf West exploration target, estimated at 3–5 Mt at 1.0–1.4% Li₂O.
Both areas remain open for expansion, highlighting significant potential to grow the lithium resource in a region hosting the world’s largest spodumene province.
