Challenger Gold (ASX:CEL) finalised the remaining balance of its $85 million placement alongside multiple leadership updates.

The settlement follows shareholder approval at an extraordinary general meeting on 27 July 2026.

The company did not provide direct executive quotes within the announcement.

The placement included $5.3 million from affiliates of Eduardo Elsztain.

Following the announcement, the Challenger Gold share price was unchanged at $0.12.

Peter Marrone has officially stepped into the role of non-executive chairman, while Eduardo Elsztain transitioned to non-executive director.

Kris Knauer retired as CEO and director, agreeing to serve as a consultant for six months to assist interim CEO Yohann Bouchard.
