  • Centrepoint Alliance purchased a 51% controlling interest in Queensland-based SEQ Advice Group.
  • The acquisition relies on a 7.2x agreed EBITDA valuation and is backed by a $0.5 million initial completion payment.
  • The transaction expands direct participation in financial advice earnings while providing a path to 75% ownership.

Centrepoint Alliance (ASX:CAF) has signed binding documents to acquire a 51% controlling stake in Queensland financial advice firm SEQ Advice Group.

The initial stake derives roughly $0.6 million of attributable annualised EBITDA, based on SEQ Advice Group’s estimated FY27 maintainable EBITDA of $1.2 million.

The deal operates under a total valuation of 7.2x agreed-upon maintainable EBITDA across initial and future tranches.

Completion requires a $0.5 million cash payment offset against the deferred balance due in September 2027, along with signed call option deeds allowing Centrepoint Alliance to eventually reach 75% ownership.

The acquisition remains scheduled to complete on Sept. 1, with continuing advisers holding the remaining 25% ownership stake to maintain long-term alignment.

Following the announcement, the Centrepoint Alliance share price was unchanged at $0.37.

The transaction aligns with Centrepoint Alliance's corporate strategy to increase direct earnings by investing in established Australian wealth management and advice businesses.
