Capstone Copper (ASX:CSC) has announced record consolidated copper production for 2025, meeting its annual guidance with 224,764 tonnes—an increase of 22% over 2024 and 37% over 2023.
The growth was driven by the ramp-up of the Mantoverde Development Project and the Mantos Blancos debottlenecking initiative.
Q4 2025 marked Capstone’s highest quarterly output, with 58,273 tonnes produced. Mantoverde achieved a record monthly copper output of 10,747 tonnes in December 2025, while Mantos Blancos delivered its highest quarterly production on record with 16,861 tonnes.
Pinto Valley and Cozamin also posted strong performances, despite drought-related challenges at Pinto Valley.
Capstone's CEO, Cashel Meagher, highlighted that 2025 was a "transformational year," with milestones including the sanctioning of the Mantoverde Optimised Project, a partnership for the Santo Domingo Project, and successful exploration in the Mantoverde-Santo Domingo district.
Looking ahead, the company plans disciplined execution and reliable results to support further growth.
On labour developments, Mantoverde's Union #2, representing roughly 22% of employees, began strike action on January 2, 2026, following unsuccessful mediation.
The mine continues to operate at 50–75% of normal production while maintaining critical safety and environmental operations.
At the time of reporting, Capstone Copper's share price was $15.69.
