C29 Metals (ASX:C29) announced the immediate resignation of Managing Director Shannon Green, who holds 25 years of resource experience.
The leadership transition follows a period where the junior explorer recorded an annual net loss of $6.8 million.
CFO Ailsa Osborne will step onto the board as the interim replacement while a permanent successor is found.
The company stated that Osborne will be appointed under her existing executive contract.
Following the announcement, the C29 Metals share price was unchanged at $0.014.
The base metals explorer recently decided to abandon its proposed copper and gold project acquisition in Namibia.
Prior to this, the company also chose to exit its exploration operations in Kazakhstan to focus on Australian assets.
