BTC Health expands distribution deal to include India
Key points
- BTC Health secured an expanded exclusive distribution agreement with UK-based Exstent for its ExoVasc PEARS medical device.
- The deal grants BTC Health distribution rights in India while replacing its initial April 2024 Australian agreement.
- Sales will commence following regulatory import approval from India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation.
BTC Health (ASX:BTC) signed a new exclusive distribution agreement with Exstent to sell its ExoVasc PEARS cardiac device in both Australia and India.
The new agreement replaces an April 2024 deal and expands the partnership following a 20% revenue growth in BTC Health's Australian PEARS business to $1.1 million in FY26.
“We have been preparing for India for much of this year, so it is very pleasing to have the agreement signed,” said BTC Health Executive Chair Dr Richard Treagus.
The initial contract runs for five years with automatic two-year renewals and involves no upfront or milestone payments to Exstent.
Following the announcement, the BTC Health share price was unchanged at $0.048.
The ExoVasc PEARS device is a custom-made mesh support designed from patient CT scans to prevent aortic root dilation.
BTC Health stated that regulatory submissions and engagement with Indian aortic surgeons are currently underway to prepare for market entry once import approval is granted.
