Brookside Energy (ASX:BRK) has commenced drilling operations at its Suttles pad in Oklahoma, spudding the Sabres well as part of a US$18.5 million development programme.
This operational launch follows the substantial completion of surface production facilities at the site, contrasting with previous months of earthworks and site preparations.
“The rig and crew are already in the field, systems are active, and we expect that continuity to support an efficient transition to our location,” said Brookside Energy Managing Director David Prentice.
The company stated that the two-well programme features 1.5-mile lateral sections designed to target the Sycamore and Woodford formations sequentially.
Following the announcement, the Brookside Energy share price was unchanged at $0.37.
The development aligns with the broader strategy of the business to grow production, build scale, and progress its planned listing on the NYSE American exchange.
