Broken Hills Mine increases quarterly silver production
- Broken Hill Mines delivered 95,787 ounces of silver in the June quarter, marking a 21.8% increase from the previous quarter.
- The company's stock remained stable as investors processed the latest production numbers ahead of the full financial release later this month.
- The restart of the Pinnacles Mine and high-grade ore from the Main Lode body drives the company's long-term strategy to maximise processing plant utilisation.
Broken Hill Mines (ASX:BHM) increased its quarterly silver production by 21.8% to 95,787 ounces following the operational restart of its Pinnacles Mine.
The growth in the June quarter contrasted with the March quarter when silver production stood at 78,649 ounces.
The company stated that increasing contributions from the high-grade Main Lode ore body and the recently restarted Pinnacles Mine underpinned the operational momentum.
To support future capacity, the company approved an investment for a tailings dewatering facility designed to remove inefficiencies and support a ramp-up to a processing rate of 750,000 tonnes per annum.
Following the announcement, the Broken Hill Mines share price was unchanged at $0.67.
The business previously consolidated its regional presence by uniting two historic operations to optimise both ore grade and processing plant throughput.
Full quarterly production and financial data are scheduled for release in late July pending the completion of customary reconciliation.
