Brazilian Rare Earths raises $50M in Alurion IPO

Brazilian Rare Earths (ASX:BRE) secured $50 million through the maximum subscription initial public offering of spin-off entity Alurion Resources.

The initial public offering reached its maximum limit after shareholders approved the demerger of the Amargosa Bauxite-Gallium Project into Alurion with 99.94% of votes in favour on July 10.

Alurion allocated approximately $35 million of the raised funds towards project-facing activities, including land procurement, environmental studies, and exploration safety programmes.

Alurion expects to list on the ASX on July 30 under the ticker code ALU.

Following the announcement, the Brazilian Rare Earths share price was up at $3.78.

Brazilian Rare Earths retains a 16% stake in Alurion, which holds an implied equity value of $256 million based on the offer price.

The parent company maintains its primary focus on critical minerals exploration across its mineral tenure in Bahia, Brazil.
