BMC Minerals (ASX:BMC) released its latest quarterly activities report outlining progress on permitting, financing and development planning for the Kudz Ze Kayah polymetallic project in Yukon, which it says is key to its future copper and zinc production profile.
The company reported ongoing work with Canadian regulators and Indigenous partners to finalise remaining approvals and agreements, and said these steps are central to its ability to advance the project toward construction.
“BMC remains committed to delivering Kudz Ze Kayah in a way that meets regulatory requirements and respects the interests of local communities and our Indigenous partners,” said BMC Minerals Chief Executive Officer.
The report highlighted continued engineering and design work for both open‑pit and underground mining areas, including optimisation of processing flowsheets and tailings management to support long‑term operational performance and cost control.
BMC said it is working on project funding options, including potential debt facilities and offtake agreements, and noted that discussions with lenders and concentrate buyers are ongoing as it seeks to secure capital for construction.
The company also updated investors on field activities, environmental monitoring and community engagement programs in Yukon, which it believes will support its approvals process and inform project implementation plans.
BMC Minerals stated that its near‑term priorities include completing remaining permit conditions, advancing financing and offtake negotiations and finalising its development schedule for Kudz Ze Kayah.
At the time of reporting BMC Minerals’ share price was AUD 2.58.
