Bison Resources (ASX:BSR) has submitted a notice of intent to the US Bureau of Land Management to begin maiden drilling at its Bald Peaks Project in Nevada.
The regulatory filing allows the company to test a 1.5km Carlin-type geochemical target following a streamlined notice-level permitting process.
“Every piece of work at Bald Peaks – from our first rock chips to the recent magnetics – has strengthened the case to drill,” said Bison Resources CEO Tim Mackellar.
The programme includes seven drill pads designed to reach depths of around 300m across the prospective gold-silver target.
Further rock chip assays covering the southern extension area are expected by the end of October.
Following the announcement, the Bison Resources share price was unchanged at $0.38.
The Bald Peaks property sits within a regional setting known for hosting Carlin-type gold deposits.
The upcoming programme leaves an additional 4.7km of strike along the structural trend available for future exploration.
