Share

Bison Resources (ASX:BSR) appointed seasoned mining executive Tim MacKellar as its CEO, effective June 2.

The appointment comes at a pivotal juncture for the Western Australian-based company as it seeks to strengthen its executive leadership and accelerate its next phase of resource exploration and corporate growth.

MacKellar brings an extensive commercial track record within the tier-one mining sector to Bison Resources.

He previously held senior commercial positions with global mining giants Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) and Fortescue (ASX:FMG), where he negotiated and executed complex multi-billion-dollar project agreements and commercial transactions.

His deep operational and strategic expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from initial concept and construction through to steady-state production across prominent domestic and international jurisdictions.

His portfolio includes high-profile resource developments such as Robe Valley, Winu, and Kangwinan.

In addition to his operational credentials, MacKellar possesses a strong legal background in corporate and capital markets law, having previously practised at corporate law firm Steinepreis Paganin.

During his tenure there, he advised emerging and ASX-listed entities across the mining, resources, and technology sectors on initial public offerings, equity capital raisings, corporate governance, and complex transactions.

At the time of reporting, Bison Resources’ share price was $0.57.
