Biome books record H1 profit growth
Biome (ASX:BIO) has delivered its performance for the first half of FY26, headlined by a net profit of $1.2 million, a 172% increase over the previous year.
The financial surge was driven by record half-year sales revenue of $12.40 million—up approximately 40%—and a record EBITDA of $1.47 million, marking the company's eighth consecutive quarter of positive earnings.
The company’s fiscal health is further bolstered by an annualized revenue run rate of $25.8 million and a significant reduction in debt, with borrowings slashed from $2.91 million to $1.50 million.
Beyond the balance sheet, Biome has solidified its position as the fastest-growing probiotic brand in Australian community pharmacies, with its entire product range currently in growth.
The company is scaling rapidly through high-profile distribution partnerships with Fullscript in Canada, as well as Mecca and Go Vita domestically.
To support this trajectory, Biome secured a new 1,350sqm warehouse in Brunswick, Victoria, adding 500 pallet positions to its logistics network.
The company also continues to invest in its clinical foundations, receiving ethics approval for its first human clinical trial on the proprietary BMB18 strain in collaboration with La Trobe University.
At the time of reporting, Biome's share price was $0.42.
