Microbiome health company Biome Australia (ASX:BIO) has reported a 30% increase in preliminary annual sales revenue to $23.9 million for the 2026 financial year.
This full-year result followed a challenging environment for the broader consumer health sector and compared to a lower total revenue base of $4.1 million recorded back in the 2022 financial year.
The company added $5.5 million of new sales revenue during the period, while its second-half revenue grew by 20% compared to the second half of the previous financial year to reach $11.5 million.
Domestic growth was driven by a 39% rise in same-store sales across all channels, alongside international sales revenue increasing by 26% to $1.8 million across four established markets.
As the company remains on track towards its multi-year cumulative sales target, following the announcement, the Biome Australia share price was unchanged at $0.28.
The business has expanded its retail footprint through products like its daily probiotic, which has become the leading probiotic product in Australian community pharmacies.
The company stated that its capital-light international operations are currently set up for further operational scale heading into the 2027 financial year.
