Bindi Metals commences maiden drilling at Serbian gold project
Bindi Metals (ASX:BIM) mobilised for its maiden diamond drilling campaign at the Ravni Gold Project, marking a shift into systematic exploration within Serbia’s highly prospective Raska Mining District.
The initial phase, spearheaded by CEO Mark Freeman, is designed to test a mineralised system that the company believes holds the potential to emerge as a major discovery within the renowned Tethyan Belt.
The programme involves 2,000m of diamond drilling focused primarily on the Drenjak and Rujak targets.
The locations were prioritised following exceptional surface results, including a high-grade channel sample at Drenjak measuring 6m @ 15.3 g/t Au, which featured a standout interval of 2m @ 45.6 g/t Au.
At Rujak, sampling previously identified 16m @ 1.4 g/t Au and 6.7 g/t Ag, suggesting a broad and robust mineralised footprint.
The technical team is particularly encouraged by the geological synergy at Ravni; the high-grade surface mineralisation is coincident with extensive soil anomalies and strong IP chargeability-resistivity signatures.
The indicators span a significant 2km corridor, hinting at a large-scale system beneath the surface.
The maiden programme will provide the first modern, systematic subsurface testing of both high-grade vein potential and the broader scale mineralisation.
With drilling operations currently underway, Bindi Metals expects to conclude this phase of the programme by the end of June.
