BHP (ASX:BHP) announced that Chief Commercial Officer Rag Udd will leave the mining company at the end of January 2027.

The market reacted swiftly as the executive departure comes shortly after chief executive Brandon Craig formally assumes the top role.

"He further strengthened BHP's commercial capability, built stronger relationships across key markets, and helped position the company well for future opportunities," said BHP CEO Brandon Craig.

Udd originally joined the business in 1997 as a mining engineer before advancing through various leadership positions and stepping into the CCO role in March 2024.

Following the announcement, the BHP share price was down at $64.66.

The mining company has been reshaping its executive leadership team to enhance regional focus across its global operations.
