BetMakers Technology Group (ASX:BET) addressed recent media speculation, confirming that preliminary acquisition discussions with Tabcorp (ASX:TAH) have concluded without a deal.

The wagering technology provider acknowledged that while informal talks regarding a potential "change of control transaction" took place, no formal offer was ever extended.

While BetMakers noted that the early-stage discussions highlighted significant opportunities for its proprietary technology products, both parties have now ceased negotiations.

Despite the end of these corporate talks, BetMakers emphasised that its existing commercial partnership with Tabcorp—which involves supplying critical racing technology and content distribution services—remains ongoing and unaffected.

At the time of reporting, BetMakers Technology's share price was $0.20.
