Benz Mining confirms major Glenburgh tungsten breakthrough

Benz Mining (ASX:BNZ) confirmed widespread tungsten mineralisation closely associated with high-grade gold zones across the entire 12-kilometre Glenburgh mineralised corridor.

Recent routine ICP-MS analysis and subsequent lithium borate fusion digest re-assays of reverse circulation drill holes have identified substantial tungsten trioxide intervals within existing high-grade gold intercepts.

Prominent results include a 79-metre intercept grading at 4.4 grammes per tonne of gold from 534m, which contains internal tungsten zones of 26m at 0.24% WO₃ and 5 m at 0.11% WO₃.

Additional high-grade intersections include 44m at 4.6 g/t gold containing 17 metres at 0.09% WO₃.

Advanced mineralogical testing using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy confirms that the tungsten occurs predominantly as coarse-grained scheelite and ferberite, an iron-rich wolframite.

Preliminary field observations indicate that these coarse minerals can produce visible tungsten-rich concentrates through simple hand-panning techniques, supporting potential low-cost gravity recovery pathways.

Formal metallurgical testwork has now commenced at ALS Metallurgy alongside ongoing gold processing studies.

Benz is rapidly expanding operations, ramping up to 12 RC shifts across the Hurricane, Icon, and Thunderbolt camps.

At the time of reporting, Benz Mining’s share price was $2.04.
