Beetaloo Energy flags mid-June Carpentaria gas testing

Share

Northern Territory gas developer Beetaloo Energy (ASX:BTL) is on the verge of a major operational milestone, flagging a mid-June commencement for its critical Carpentaria-5H extended production test.

The company's near-term Carpentaria Pilot Project has transitioned from site construction into commissioning preparation.

All civil works are now complete, with gas plant installation actively ongoing.

Final equipment transport is underway from Roma, with the second compressor unit and intercooler currently in transit to the site.

The upcoming C-5H test follows exceptional late-2025 clean-up testing, which recorded a peak gas flow rate of 11.2 TJ/day after a record-scale 67-stage hydraulic stimulation.

Gathering pipelines are currently being installed to connect the C-2H, C-3H, and C-5H wells to the central gas plant.

Once commissioned, the pilot system targets a processing capacity of up to 25 TJ/day to supply the NT domestic market under an existing sales agreement.

Concurrently, Beetaloo Energy is expanding its footprint into Western Beetaloo.

Land access agreements have been executed for a planned 230-kilometre 2D seismic campaign targeting a thicker section of the prospective B Shale reservoir unit.

Line clearing is scheduled to begin in mid-June, ahead of Velseis commencing data acquisition late in the month.
