Battery Age Minerals (ASX:BM8) announced a substantial 40% expansion of its landholding at the Apex Germanium-Gallium Project in Utah, USA.

The company has staked an additional 51 unpatented lode mining claims, bringing its total tenure to 186 claims across approximately 15.09km2 in the Beaver Dam Mountains.

The expansion secures high-priority ground immediately adjacent to the historic Apex Mine, a globally renowned past-producer famous for its exceptionally high-grade germanium-gallium-copper mineralisation.

By targeting key corridors and stratigraphic horizons linked to the Apex Mine’s historical output, Battery Age strengthens its position in one of the few high-grade systems of its kind in the United States.

The minerals are vital for semiconductors, fibre optics, and advanced defence technologies, sectors where Western nations are currently striving to reduce dependence on foreign imports.

The Apex Project now provides a powerful dual-continent footprint alongside the company’s flagship Bleiberg Project in Austria.

To accelerate development, a WorldView-3 remote sensing programme is already underway at the Utah site.

The initiative utilises high-resolution short-wave infrared and visible near-infrared data to refine structural mapping and prioritise targets for upcoming on-ground exploration.

At the time of reporting, Battery Age Minerals' share price was $0.060.
