Axtec raises A$1m funding from major shareholder
- Axtec (ASX:AXI) has secured an additional A$1 million funding commitment from major shareholder Oriental University City Holdings.
- The loan is scheduled to be refinanced into A$1 million of five‑year convertible notes, paying 10% per annum, subject to shareholder approval.
- Axtec says the funds will accelerate its strategy to be the automation and intelligence layer for real estate transactions.
Axtec (ASX:AXI) has agreed a further A$1,000,000 funding commitment from major shareholder Oriental University City Holdings (H.K.) Limited, on top of A$475,000 in convertible notes previously approved by shareholders earlier in June 2026.
The company said the new funding will be used to speed up its growth plans and the execution of its goal to provide an automation and intelligence layer across the real estate industry, turning fragmented agency and customer data into automated payments, new revenue streams and more efficient operations.
“Today’s announcement further validates the Axtec strategy and demonstrates strong support for the Group’s capabilities, and it further reinforces OUC’s support and commitment to the Company,” said Axtec (ASX:AXI) Managing Director Ben Laurance.
Under the terms outlined, the funds will be advanced in stages, with A$200,000 payable on execution and A$200,000 per month thereafter, and Axtec stated that, subject to shareholder approval at its expected November 2026 AGM, the loan will convert into five‑year notes paying 10% per annum with a 1.95 cent conversion price, slightly above the current 30‑day VWAP.
Axtec said the additional capital, combined with the earlier A$475,000 of shareholder‑approved notes, provides extra flexibility to pursue product development and rollout across payment, lending and compliance tools for vendors, purchasers, agents and property owners; following the announcement the Axtec (ASX:AXI) share price was unchanged at its last reported level.
The company describes itself as a real‑estate‑focused, AI‑enabled technology platform that tackles the manual and fragmented nature of property transactions by offering automated payments, compliance tools and digital workflows through its core services.
Axtec also cautioned investors that its announcement contains forward‑looking statements based on current expectations and projections, and said actual outcomes could differ materially due to known and unknown risks affecting its business strategy, growth, cash flow and product development plans
