- The Clean Energy Finance Corporation has appointed insider Paul McCartney as its new CEO, effective Sept. 18.
- The appointment maintains strategic continuity across Australia's largest government-backed green investment portfolio.
- McCartney will lead the next phase of clean energy deployment as the organisation expands its portfolio beyond $33 billion.
The Clean Energy Finance Corporation appointed 12-year executive Paul McCartney as CEO to lead its $33 billion fund.
McCartney succeeds retiring leader Ian Learmonth, who grew available capital from $33 billion since 2017.
"Paul has been a strong advocate for the CEFC's role in accelerating investment," said Clean Energy Finance Corporation Chairman Steven Skala.
The entity stated that lifetime commitments exceed $98 billion.
The green bank manages specialised capital programmes, including the $19 billion Rewiring the Nation fund for grid infrastructure.
McCartney will step into the CEO role on Sept. 18 as Learmonth completes his transition.
