
Australia records 1.85M international arrivals in November 2025

Australia welcomed 1.85 million international arrivals in November 2025, marking an 8.4% increase compared with the same month in 2024, while departures rose 7.5% to 1.91 million, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reported.
Short-term visitor arrivals surged 19.5% year-on-year to 831,170, led by travellers from New Zealand (127,820 trips), the UK (80,090) and China (74,500).

New South Wales recorded the highest number of arrivals at 325,340, while the Northern Territory saw the fewest, with just 5,010 visitors.
Short-term resident returns reached 937,320, up 0.6%, with the largest numbers returning from Indonesia (128,910), New Zealand (118,300) and Japan (80,620).
