Australia announces $100M in Ukraine aid
- The federal government committed an additional $100 million in military assistance to Ukraine.
- The funding increases Australia's total contribution to Ukraine past $1.8 billion since 2022.
- The aid aims to deliver critical air defence and munitions over the next 12 months.
The Australian Government announced it will provide an additional $100 million to Ukraine for critical military equipment, including air defence capabilities and munitions.
This new commitment follows a prior $50 million package allocated to the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List in December 2025.
"What happens in Ukraine matters here in the Indo-Pacific, which is why it is so important for Australia to stay the course and continue to stand with Ukraine until they find peace on their terms," said Defence Minister Richard Marles.
The newly announced funding will be delivered in two separate $50 million tranches over the next 12 months in partnership with NATO.
The announcement coincided with a meeting of NATO defence ministers held this week ahead of an upcoming leadership summit in Ankara where geopolitical security will be discussed.
This package brings the total value of Australian assistance to Ukraine to more than $1.8 billion since the conflict began in 2022.
