Austral Gold (ASX:AGD) increased quarterly output by 50% to 6,479 gold equivalent ounces in Q3 2026 but lowered its full-year output forecast.

The output expansion compares to 4,313 gold equivalent ounces mined in Q2 2026, with the operational boost supported by Casposo processing its own ore for a full quarter.

"Casposo's first full quarter processing its own ore lifted our combined production by 50%, and we moved to a net cash position after reducing debt by a further US$4.4 million," said Austral Gold CEO Stabro Kasaneva.

Operational headwinds hit performance as severe winter weather, high ore moisture, and unplanned maintenance constrained throughput at Guanaco during August and September.

Following the announcement, the Austral Gold share price was down at $0.12.

The revised full-year outlook of 24,000–27,000 gold equivalent ounces represents a reduction from the company's previous guidance of 27,000–33,000 gold equivalent ounces.

Technical evaluations support a 14-year mine life at Guanaco with an after-tax net present value of US$192.1 million at a 10% discount rate.
