Austin Metals (ASX:AYT) reported progress on its BIF-hosted gold targeting at the Brunswick Hill prospect, part of its Austin Gold Project in the Murchison Goldfields of Western Australia.
The company's updated model highlights a Vadrians-style gold system supported by recent shallow, high-grade drilling, including 2m at 10.3 g/t Au from 62m (24BHRC04) and 6m at 3.5 g/t Au from 65m, including 1 m at 17.1 g/t Au (24BHRC05).
Brunswick Hill’s BIF corridor remains largely underexplored, with over 2km of prospective strike identified but only around 500m partially tested.
The mineralisation is interpreted to occur within oxide-facies jaspilite and magnetite–chert BIF, particularly where these competent horizons are folded, fractured, or cross-cut by brittle faults, with gold associated with sulphides and quartz veining.
