  • Austin Metals completed a 4,000-metre reverse circulation drilling programme at its flagship project near Cue, Western Australia.
  • Shares remained steady at $0.003 following the market update.
  • The campaign targeted high-priority gold zones to evaluate potential subsurface mineralisation.

Austin Metals (ASX:AYT) completed a 4,000-metre reverse circulation drilling programme at the Austin Gold Project to evaluate gold targets across Brunswick Hill and Mt Sandy.

The project followed previous target definition work in May that identified priority zones along 3km of prospective banded iron formation.

"The completion of drilling at Brunswick Hill and Mt Sandy marks a key operational milestone for our exploration team as we wait for the upcoming assay results," said Austin Metals Technical Director Leo Horn.

The campaign focused on testing five high-priority targets at Brunswick Hill alongside extensions to known quartz-sulphide veining at Mt Sandy, with assay results expected within four to six weeks.

The exploration programme aims to establish whether footwall geological structures hold mineralisation similar to nearby discoveries in the Murchison region.

Following the announcement, the Austin Metals share price was unchanged at $0.003.

Austin Metals holds roughly 111km2 of exploration ground in Western Australia's Murchison greenstone province adjacent to established gold deposits.

The company previously completed a 27-hole aircore drilling programme at Mt Sandy to map shallow structures ahead of deeper testing.
