AuMEGA Metals (ASX:AAM) appointed Rafael Gradim as president effective Aug. 1 to oversee its Canadian exploration projects.

The appointment follows the immediate resignation of former president Michael Skead, who stepped down from the role for personal reasons.

Gradim brings more than 22 years of geological and mining experience to the company, including prior work at Vale Base Metals.

Based in Toronto, he will take full accountability for all mineral exploration activities in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Following the announcement, the AuMEGA Metals share price was unchanged at $0.034.

The mineral exploration company focuses on discovering precious and critical metals within its Canadian territory.

The business previously operated under the name Matador Mining before rebranding to its current name in June 2024.
