Audeara (ASX:AUA) has signed a software licensing cooperation agreement with Shenzhen-based system-on-chip design company OPTEK Microelectronics.
Under the deal, Audeara will license key technologies from its proprietary AUAI Algorithm suite—including AI Noise Reduction, Media Personalisation Algorithm, customised audio processing libraries, and project-specific audio software tools—for integration into Optek’s SoC platforms.
The non-exclusive agreement allows Audeara's AI audio technologies to be embedded directly into Optek chipsets, generating revenue on a fee-per-chip basis for designated customer programs.
The partnership expands the global reach of Audeara’s technology, notably including the deployment of AUAI NR, developed in collaboration with Optek to address specific customer use cases within Optek's ecosystem.
Audeara CEO James Fielding said the agreement strengthens the company’s position as a provider of advanced audio processing technologies and supports its strategy to broaden adoption of Audeara algorithms across global OEM and ODM partners.
Optek COO Devy Xie added that integrating Audeara's AUAI technologies into Optek platforms will enhance capabilities offered to OEM and ODM customers and support the development of high-performance audio solutions.
The agreement does not include minimum order quantities, with revenue generated as Optek customer programs incorporating Audeara's technology move into production.
