Audeara (ASX:AUA) announced an exclusive agreement with Shokz Health Global to deploy the customised OpenLearn Small assistive listening solution.
The partnership marks a milestone for Audeara, as it integrates Shokz's world-leading bone conduction technology with its own specialised audio tuning expertise to address an urgent and underserved market.
The collaboration targets the estimated 600,000 school-aged children across Australia who face functional listening challenges.
The difficulties, often stemming from fluctuating hearing loss, can severely hinder a child’s ability to participate in the classroom and achieve long-term academic success.
By providing a non-invasive, open-ear listening device, the OpenLearn Small is designed to support these students during their most critical learning years, particularly those in regional and remote communities where access to specialised care can be limited.
Under the terms of the product customisation and market deployment agreement, ShokzHear will manufacture a version of its technology specifically tailored to Audeara’s requirements regarding size, functionality, and audio parameters for the Australian market.
The agreement establishes a scalable commercial pathway through fully funded state and national government programmes, as well as charitable channels.
At the time of reporting, Audeara’s share price was $0.057.
