AUCyber secures $2.2M university cybersecurity contracts
- AUCyber expanded its security operations footprint in higher education through new contracts with the University of New England and another Australian university.
- The deals generated $2.2 million in total contract value, lifting combined new annual recurring revenue to roughly $1.3 million.
- Growth is supported by expanding tender pipelines and heightened demand for managed security monitoring across Australian universities.
AUCyber (ASX:CYB) expanded its presence in the higher education sector by securing new managed security services contracts with Australian universities.
The new agreements build on existing security operations centre services by adding an initial 12-month contract with the University of New England worth over $600,000 per year in recurring revenue.
The company secured additional university contracts in September, totalling $2.2 million in total contract value, lifting combined new annual recurring revenue to roughly $1.3 million.
AUCyber stated that it is currently bidding for a separate security analytics engagement with a major Australian university valued at roughly $5.5 million over its term.
Following the announcement, the AUCyber share price was unchanged at $0.054.
The company noted that it is participating in further competitive tender processes across the education and enterprise sectors.
AUCyber attribute these recent contract wins to expanding sector demand for managed security monitoring and its ongoing platform integration with SentinelOne.
