ASX (ASX:ASX) appointed three key executive leadership team members to drive its ongoing transformation and renewal strategy.

The refreshed executive lineup replaces outgoing senior executives and introduces a dual-reporting operational model across clearing and settlement functions.

"The ASX has a critical role in serving Australia’s capital markets, and we have a clear plan for improving how we deliver for all of our stakeholders," said ASX Managing Director and CEO Anthony Attia.

Keir Barnes will join as CFO, Mark Peterson will take over clearing and settlement from November, and Elaine Vaisanen will become COO while leading the Accelerate programme from December.

Following the announcement, the ASX share price was up at $56.42.

The new leadership structure was initiated under Managing Director and CEO Anthony Attia following his official start on Sept. 1.

Incoming CFO Keir Barnes brings over 20 years of capital markets experience after previously serving as CFO at property group Dexus.
