Aruma Resources finalises initial drilling at Tillex Project
Aruma Resources (ASX:AAJ) finalised its initial Phase 1 diamond drilling programme at the high-grade Tillex Copper-Silver Project, situated within the world-class Timmins mining district of Ontario, Canada.
The inaugural campaign comprised five diamond drillholes for a cumulative total of 1,093m, with individual hole depths ranging from 90m to 423m.
All core samples have been dispatched for laboratory testing, with highly anticipated assay results expected to be returned early June.
To optimise future targeting, advanced downhole electromagnetic geophysics was completed on four of the holes to isolate conductors at depth for ongoing drilling operations.
Aruma has compiled a comprehensive geological dataset, incorporating petrographic samples, structural mapping, specific gravity metrics, magnetic susceptibility, and detailed conductivity measurements.
Comprehensive metallurgical analysis is scheduled to initiate immediately upon receipt of the final assay results.
The current geological interpretation indicates that the copper-rich Tillex Deposit possesses a substantial mineralised footprint extending approximately 600m in strike length and reaching a depth extent of at least 400m.
The campaign ultimately aims to fully quantify the asset's strike and depth potential to facilitate a formal mineral resource estimation.
Aruma is planning a major Phase 2 programme encompassing 3,500m to 4,000m of diamond drilling, which will commence following refined structural modelling.
