Canadian-focused explorer Ardiden (ASX:ADV) announced a breakthrough at its Rouyn Gold Project, reporting high-grade gold assays and the discovery of extensive mineralised halos at the Astoria deposit.

The latest results from an ongoing 15,000-metre diamond drilling campaign confirm the presence of a large-scale hydrothermal system along the prolific Rouyn corridor.

With eight holes completed for 7,088m, the company has identified broad, continuous mineralised envelopes that remain open both along strike and at depth.

The drilling highlights are headlined by an impressive intersection of 29.15m at 4.96 grammes per tonne of gold from 56.65m, which includes a high-grade core of 6m at 20.78g/t.

Other results include 11.85m at 2.64g/t gold and 5.95m at 3.46g/t.

Furthermore, the identification of wide halos—such as 88.8m at 0.61g/t gold—points to a robust, long-lived fluid flow characteristic of major structural corridors.

Managing Director Andrew Stocks noted that these grades and widths are comparable to established underground operations within the regional Abitibi Greenstone Belt.

The intersections extend beyond previously defined areas, with grades consistently meeting or exceeding the current resource average of 3.28g/t.

Stocks emphasised that the combination of high-grade plunging shoots and broad envelopes supports the interpretation of a vertically extensive system.

Following its merger with Lac Gold, Ardiden now holds a 100% interest in the project.

At the time of reporting, Ardiden's share price was $0.36.
