Artificial intelligence pioneer Anthropic has filed prospectus documents to target Australian investors in an initial public offering that could value the company at up to US$2 trillion.

Revenue jumped 1,368% year-on-year for the June quarter, though the business recorded a net loss of US$80.7 billion for the first half of 2026.

"We believe this abundance of AI will rapidly transform every sector of the global economy in ways greater than the impact of industrialisation, electricity, semiconductors and the internet," said Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei.

The company stated that the transaction involves lodging a bespoke Australian prospectus for professional investors, alongside data centre expansion leases signed in Dalby, Queensland.

Underwriters led by Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley are seeking to raise US$100 billion or more through the listing.

The business was founded in 2021 by former researchers and was previously valued at US$965 billion during a May funding round.
