Ansell (ASX:ANN) has announced that Managing Director and CEO Neil Salmon will retire after 13 years with the company, including five years as CEO since September 2021.

The board has appointed Nathalie Ahlström, former CEO and President of the Fiskars Group, as his successor.

Ahlström will begin a transition period on Jan. 26 and assume the role of Managing Director and CEO on Feb. 16, based out of Ansell's Brussels hub.

Chair Nigel Garrard praised Ahlström’s global leadership experience and strategic vision, saying she is well-positioned to lead Ansell through its next phase of growth and innovation.

Salmon will remain as a special advisor to support the transition through June 30.

In reflecting on his tenure, Salmon highlighted the company's strong organic growth, operational improvements, sustainability initiatives, and the successful integration of the Kimberly-Clark PPE business, Ansell’s largest acquisition
