Amplia Therapeutics (ASX:ATX) partnered with Eli Lilly & Company (NYSE:LLY) for a Phase 1b/2b trial starting in late 2026.
The agreement expands Amplia's lead drug narmafotinib beyond pancreatic and ovarian cancer into non-small cell lung cancer.
"This collaboration is an exciting new stage in the clinical progression of narmafotinib," said Amplia Therapeutics CEO Dr Chris Burns.
Amplia stated that it will conduct the trial in Australia and the United States with in-kind drug supply from Lilly.
Following the announcement, the Amplia Therapeutics share price was unchanged at $0.16.
The company previously reported positive mid-stage clinical trial results for narmafotinib in patients with advanced pancreatic cancer.
Amplia is also preparing to commence a separate trial evaluating the drug in ovarian cancer patients later this year.
