  • Strong China partnership returns and carried interest sales provided key financial momentum.

Financial services provider AMP (ASX:AMP) announced that its expected first-half underlying net profit after tax will reach between $180 million and $200 million for H1.

The projected profit increase follows a 24% boost in earnings from China partnerships to roughly $56 million alongside investment income gains from higher interest rates.

Additional earnings included a 12 million sponsor investment revaluation loss.

Following the announcement, the AMP share price was up at $1.78.

The company retains future earnings potential from the remaining 49% interest in legacy fund assets depending on incoming sale conditions.

AMP plans to announce its final detailed H1 financial performance results and 2026 outlook guidance on Aug. 6.
