AML3D (ASX:AL3) secured an initial ~$2.2 million order for a large-scale ARCEMY X system from US Navy prime contractor Northrop Grumman Marine Systems.

The transaction follows a competitive tender process and marks the company's first order with Northrop Grumman.

“The board and management have worked closely and diligently to develop and implement AML3D’s US Scale-up growth strategy, and supplying our technology to another major US prime contractor strongly endorses that strategy and our ability to convert demand into commercial orders,” said AML3D CEO Sean Ebert.

Terms include a 50% upfront payment upon reaching the initial project milestone, with final installation at Northrop Grumman's Sunnyvale facility expected in the fourth quarter of the 2027 financial year.

AML3D stated that it now has contracts covering 17 ARCEMY systems across the US defence sector.

Following the announcement, the AML3D share price was unchanged at $0.12.

The manufacturing platform will be supplied from the company's US technology centre in Stow, Ohio.

Northrop Grumman is a key supplier to the US Navy, manufacturing propulsion, power generation, and missile launch systems.
