Air New Zealand (ASX:AIZ) announced the resignation of CFO Richard Thomson, who is set to depart the national carrier on Aug. 28.

Thomson, who rejoined the airline in early 2021, played a pivotal role in navigating the company through its post-pandemic recovery and complex recapitalisation efforts.

In a statement, CEO Nikhil Ravishankar praised Thomson as an "exceptional leader", citing his calm discipline and deep financial expertise during one of the most challenging periods in the airline’s history.
