Ainsworth Game Technology faces leadership shake-up
Ainsworth Game Technology (ASX:AGI) undergone an immediate leadership shake-up following the sudden resignations of its Independent Non-Executive Chairman, Danny Gladstone, and Company Secretary, Mark Ludski.
The departures come in the wake of recent media reports concerning personal payments made to both executives over eight years ago.
Gladstone and Ludski maintained that stepping down immediately is in the best interests of AGT, allowing the gaming technology firm to bypass "distracting complaints" and maintain total focus on its core strategic priorities.
In response to the vacancies, the board has swiftly enacted its renewal strategy by appointing Graeme Campbell as the new Chair.
Campbell, who has served as an independent non-executive Director since 2007, brings over three decades of specialised corporate consultancy experience in the hotel and registered clubs sectors.
Alongside his new leadership role, Campbell joins AGT’s Regulatory and Compliance Committee, whilst Heather Scheibenstock steps up to replace Gladstone as the RCC Chair.
The board emphasised that these changes align with the recent March appointment of non-executive Director Birgit Wimmer, signalising a strong commitment to fresh perspectives and robust governance.
Meanwhile, a formal process to recruit an additional independent non-executive director will commence immediately.
At the time of reporting, Ainsworth Game Technology’s share price was $1.58.
