Acusensus secures New South Wales speed camera extension
- Acusensus signed a six-month extension with Transport for New South Wales to continue its mobile speed camera services.
- The extension carries an approximate contract value of $16 million, with an option for an additional six months.
- The agreement secures near-term revenue while a separate long-term government tender process remains underway.
Road safety technology provider Acusensus (ASX:ACE) executed a variation agreement with Transport for New South Wales to extend its mobile speed camera operations for six months from July 1, securing an interim revenue bridge of approximately $16 million.
The extension postpones an immediate expiration timing gap, whereas the market previously tracked the company’s remaining total contract pipeline of $212 million recorded at the end of December 2025.
The multi-month agreement includes a separate provision where the state transit agency holds an optional six-month extension from 1 January 2027 that is also valued at an estimated $16 million.
Following the announcement the Acusensus share price was up at $1.26.
The temporary contract preservation matches the company's previously stated full-year 2026 guidance, which projected annual revenue between $83 million and $87 million along with adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation of $7.2 million to $8.2 million.
The business continues to pursue global expansion to diversify its revenue base, which includes a vehicle speed enforcement programme with the Connecticut Department of Transportation valued at an estimated US$22.6 million.
