The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission says WiseTech Global (ASX:WTC) completed its acquisition of rival logistics software business Expedient despite being aware of significant competition concerns raised by the regulator.

WiseTech acquired Expedient in August 2025 as part of its broader takeover of e2open Parent Holdings, even though the ACCC had not yet completed its review; the watchdog later accepted a court-enforceable undertaking requiring WiseTech to divest Expedient to an ACCC-approved buyer so it can operate as a viable competitor.

ACCC chair Gina Cass-Gottlieb said the regulator considers WiseTech already has substantial market power in logistics software and that the acquisition significantly reduced customer choice, noting the deal was finalised before the ACCC could reach a decision.

At the time of reporting, WiseTech Global's share price was $66.02.
