ABx Group achieves rare earth extraction at Deep Leads Project
ABx Group (ASX:ABX) has achieved outstanding results from recent column leach tests on 26 kg bulk samples from its Deep Leads Rare Earth Project in northern Tasmania, conducted by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation in December 2025.
Both tests demonstrated over 80% total rare earth extraction, including more than 70% of high-value heavy rare earths dysprosium and terbium, surpassing expectations and confirming the technical feasibility of heap leaching for the project.
The tests also showed excellent physical stability and low impurities, indicating that the resulting mixed rare earth carbonate product could meet strong customer demand.
ABx plans to produce a second MREC sample from the column leach solutions for marketing purposes, while ongoing metallurgical studies will guide optimisation of the most efficient and cost-effective processing methods.
At the time of reporting, ABx Group's share price was $0.090.
