1414 Degrees signs data centre agreement

1414 Degrees (ASX:14D) has signed a heads of agreement with an Australian data centre operator to develop up to 1 gigawatt of AI data centre infrastructure in South Australia.
The preliminary deal provides the unnamed operator with exclusivity over an initial 40-hectare development parcel within the 1580-hectare Aurora Energy precinct landholding.
The project is proposed in three stages, beginning with a 17-megawatt starter campus connected to a 33-kilovolt power connection, followed by a 200-megawatt anchor campus once a 275-kilovolt transmission line is connected.
The agreement allows the parties to negotiate definitive contracts to co-locate AI computing infrastructure alongside planned battery storage and solar assets.
Following the announcement, the 1414 Degrees share price was up at $0.072.
The agreement adds a potential monetisation path alongside existing development plans for battery energy storage systems and heavy transport electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
The company stated that the site features up to 900 megawatts of solar generation potential and an approved 140-megawatt / 280-megawatt-hour battery storage system.
